We’ve seen a wide range of PSP hacks since the handheld was released varying from the simple (adding button LEDs) to the more complex (add a PS2 controller). Although this may seem like a complex hack, it requires simple circuitry and basic PSP guides to accomplish. It’s of average difficulty and looks fantastic with it’s blue LED lights and custom faceplates.



The PSP mod featured above includes: sound reactive LEDs, DIY clear bottom strip, internal go! cam/ internal mic, paint job, 16gb internal sdhc, led fader delux. Check out full project details at Acid Mods.

We’ve covered a few of Joe Grand’s projects on the site before and here’s another fantastic project to add to the collection. This POV (persistence of vision) watch displays the current or elapsed time while the arm is swinging (such as during a run or brisk walk). A sequence of LED patterns from the watch are displayed in quick succession appearing in “thinÂair.”
