
This free software allows you to track the optimal positioning and signal strength of your wireless router. By loading your router’s position in the software, you can pinpoint it’s accuracy to within 3 feet. Basically, you take your wireless laptop and use it to measure signal strength in various locations around your home. The software then takes these measurements and creates a signal strength heatmap for you.

Heya
Heatmapper is not currently usable on 64bit Windows installs, including Windows 7, making this less than useful for myself.
