We’ve seen loads of RC copter projects, but with a extra features, you can enable yours for aerial combat too. Two Swedish DIYers build a tricopter to target hydrogen balloons (which are flammable, by the way). It’s controlled via first-person point of view, and is armed with over 100 fireworks. Check out the video above for an awesome demo.

The tricopter must also fend off attacks from a ground-based “rocket defense system”. The sentry seen above is mounted with two 100 pack rockets set on a tripod and FPV camera for remote control. Check out full details on this tricopter project for a lesson in remote drone flying and aerial combat.
