The Nimbus 64 is one of the most impressive portable systems we’ve seen in a while and it’s a nice addition to our collection of Nintendo mods. This case mod also adds control knobs from the GameCube and uses an LCD from an old PlayStation. It’s all sealed in the sleek, vacuum formed polystyrene case.
The project starts with a stock Nintendo 64 and the detailed work log shows the processes that have been used to build the portable console over a six week period. The PS1 screen is raised on a bevel with the volume and contrast buttons within easy reach. Check out our top Nintendo projects below:
