Realistic Halloween Door & Window Prop

Here’s a nifty project to get an early start on for next Halloween. This door has an LCD insert that appears to be a window with a view of a corridor. Coming down the corridor is a menacing looking fellow carrying an axe. When he reaches the door, he pounds away, trying to get to you. The first swings of the axe crack the ‘window’ but then he starts to strike the door. Each ‘blow’ creates dents in the door.

The axe ‘blows’ are carefully synchronized to a device that violently shakes the door and creates ‘dents’ in the material, making it appear that the guy just might get through. With a bit of know-how, and some animatronics you can have one for your next cozy get-together. Some project details can be found in the videos’ description on Youtube.
