This DIY build features a standard RC car converted to be autonomous. Thanks to two sensors on the hood, it can maneuver hallways with ease as it can steer itself around corners all on its own. The vehicle moves down the middle of any hallway while it senses its distance from the walls. It’s equipped with a PIC microcontroller, speed controller and a hobby servo and also includes a remote control mode.
Just like some of our other surveillance projects, you might like to put some add-ons like a webcam on the autonomous rover for some dorm hallway eavesdropping.
