Multi-touch Desk with Curved Surface

This “BendDesk” is a proof of concept prototype which promises to change the way we interact with our workspace. The entire desktop includes the curved vertical surface as well as the horizontal and is a large seamless multi-touch surface. BendDesk’s touch sensitive surface recognizes ten touch points and processes your finger inputs using a system of IR LEDs, 3 cameras, and 2 projectors.

The German developers behind the project have kept the lower area free as a normal desk. Though it’s just a lab prototype now, from graphic work to a game arcade, who knows, it could catch on.
