Make your own Vintage Arcade Marquee

Make your own Vintage Arcade Marquee

Ah…the warm glow of the arcade machine, so retro, so inviting. We all spent our fair share of quarters at the arcades, so why not bring your favorite title into your living room Learn to build your own back lit arcade marquee (arcade header) and you’ll have women begging to grasp your joystick. So, first thing’s first:
1. Create your Design

The best way to create your own design is to use this arcade marquee toolkit. It includes dozens of pre-made templates, fonts, coin slot decals, button layouts, and everything you’ll ever need for custom arcade glory. The marquee above is made for MAME – Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator.
Option 2: Use a Classic Design

Dozens of classic marquees are avaliable free online or you could pick up a real marquee for about ten bucks. Also, you can order one custom made or just ask Google for inspiration.
3. Make it Glow!

So, you’ve got your marquee, but it looks so…dull. Build a marquee backlight box for it and make it glow. For a cheaper, heat free way of illuminating the box, you could always just use bright white LEDs.

Hi: It seems that the link for the “Arcade Marquee Toolkit” is dead. Is there a mirror of it?

Thanks

Sorry, that’s the only link we’ve got. It looks like the site just switched CMS’s, so hopefully it’ll be back online soon.
