Make LEDs Thump to the Beat of your Music

Don’t Miss: How to Display Audio As Light – LEDs to Music

This would definitely be an awesome addition to any party. Using an output from your computer or speakers, you can hook up a few LEDs, and they’ll pulsate to the beat of your music. You can expand upon this and hook this entire thing up to your Christmas lights if you really wanted to. Note, instead of using the amplifier seen in the tutorial, you can use one of these nifty audio amplifying transistors, and they’ll probably do the trick.

Question:

Here’s something that may be tricky but also may be doable. Any ideas on how I can add small lights to a drum strap (like a bongo drum) that I can somehow make light up to the beat of the drum. The drum will be playing along with a band in the back but will only be used for a solo part. If you could help point me in the right direction, that would be SUPER. Thank you

can anyone help me to find a motion- or sound-activated device (like some toys have) with pig sounds ( or to add pigsounds) for building in a sculpture? Seems very hard to find such a thing

[To Kyla] I guess you could find a microphone and connect it to this system and try that. it might work

You’d have to amplify the microphone’s signal using an opamp or lm 386.
