We’ve all seen what pranks utilizing devices such as the TV-B-Gone which can turn off any television with an infrared port. Take for example Gizmodo shutting of TVs at CES. For this simple hack, all you need is a lens to control (snipe) any TV from well beyond the range of any normal remote. As you can see in the pictures above, all you have to to is use a basic pair of binoculars which makes the IR LED inside the TV-B-Gone much more concentrated. Therefore, its infrared beam can reach TV sets further away. It’s incredibly simple and incredibly effective. Have a cool project like this one Send it to us.
