Internet Enabled Pet Feeder
Learn how to build an internet enabled pet feeder with streaming video. Now you can feed your pet from work or on vacation directly from your computer or phone. The whole system is fairly simple and is controlled by the status LED on a Cisco switch, a superb way to avoid spendy ethernet relays. The user simply logs into a website and can specify how much food they’d like to dispense, click go, and watch the action unfold via webcam.

Nice…I’m looking to make something similar but instead of feeding, I want to perform behavior correct with my dogs. I have a remote shocker that I want to actuate via web interface, to teach them to stop bringing in sticks into the house when we are not home!

I’ve been wanting to do the same thing with my remote shocker / beeper. My dog gets into cabinets and destroys whatever he can get at.
