Incredible Laser Zaps Mosquitoes in Midair
We’ve seen some pretty complex laser projects but this mid-air mosquito death ray is pretty incredible. The technology presented at this year’s TED conference because of it’s potential to help fight malaria. The laser in the video above tracks and annihilates mosquitoes in midair!
The demonstration involved a glass box setup with a camera. Mosquitoes let loose inside the box were targeted by a laser beam (more info). In real world situations, the targeting would obviously be more difficult.
The best part? The entire laser setup was made from parts sourced from eBay! Awesome!
