Incredible Balancing, Climbing and Jumping Robots
Using segway-like balancing technology, these incredible robots can climb a pole while balancing, hop like a pogo stick, and even climb up stairs. These outstanding creations and more are the product of University of Southern Cal’s robotics lab.

The first robot is called the iLean. It’s basically two wheels attached to a pole which it plants on the ground and balances upon. It then turns its wheels inward and climbs up the pole while maintaining perfect balance.
Next is the iHop which is essentially a self balancing pogo stick. It also has wheels to help it balance and move freely. The pogo-stick like abilities are demonstrated later in the video.
