Webcamxp works fine form me.
With http://www.dyndns.org create an account. For free. Put in your router de dns account. That’s neccesary for watching your cam outsite.

I tried this app on 3.01 firmware.. it just says “loading video” as well.. nothing comes up, maybe not for 3.0 yet?

I am having an issue with this. I put in my ip address and the video just keeps saying loading video. Any idea?

amazing app i have tried about 20 and none worked but this is great i use it to keep an eye on my pet do u know why the the back,edit,or refresh button doesnt work though im usung a edimax cam 1510? but i love this app cant wait for add on’s like taking snaps and video.

One option is to open a port on your router… I have a DI-524 and what I do to open a port is I…

â— go to mozilla firefox or internet explorer and type in “http://(default gateway address)

to find that you go to RUN and type in CMD, then “ipconfig”, there you will find your ip address, Subnet mask , and default gateway…

â— it will then ask you for a user name and password.

My username on the di-524 is admin and there is no password. you can find your username and password on the internet, just search for a list of usernames and passwords.

â— then is you have a d-link go to “wireless” menu, and click advanced.

Name: anything you want
Private IP: your ip address
Protocol Type: TCP
Private Port: anything
Public Port: the port you want to access it with Ex. 80

Schedule: always

Then set the port on webcam xp to the one you added ex. 80, and set the port on yout ipod to the same…

Very straightforward tutorial. It went very well up until the end.

I get a “can’t find host” error on my iPod. I have a home network and used ipconfig to get my IP address but … “can’t find host”. Any thoughts?

Another option is to use Orb. It allows you to view media remotely, including streaming from a TV tuner and supports USB webcams.
