dont give people false information, its not a router, its just using the wifi card in the iphone or ipod touch for use on a computer without a pci or usb wifi card.

I believe this is called an ad-hoc configuration, not actually a wireless router that may seem to be available for the G1. The iPhone is simply a gateway or portal to the internet.

I haven’t tried it, but, if it converts one protocol to another (i.e. Wi-Fi to G3) it’s a router.

I use MyWi on my jailbroken phone. It works great to make a wireless router out of my phone.

Here’s my question… My wifi is not working on my iPhone… Is it possible to use the wifi connection on my laptop to upgrade my phone and download large apps from Cydia… Everytime i try to download apps from cydia the connection times out or i get a bunch of error messages…
