The Ford Mustang GT does have it’s own built in entertainment console, but if you want to be in touch with all of iPad’s goodies like streaming music, GPS navigation, email, and access to loads of apps, you can install an iPad 3G in the dash. Not for use while driving, of course.
Following the custom installation steps outlined, you can do it yourself with some carpentry skills or learn car-modding skills from our other car mods. The in-dash HVAC, stereo and Sync controls have been removed and reinstalled in a custom upholstered wood box on the ceiling. You might have to lose the CD player as it is too large but we doubt you’ll miss it with your new iPad installed. Of course, the tutorial can be adapted to fit nearly any car.
