Hack the Kinect to Control DJ Lasers & Lighting
This project allows a DJ to literally wave their hands over the crowd to “conduct” a laser light show. The setup uses an Xbox 360 Kinect which sends data to a computer which, in turn, sends commands via serial to a DMX lighting control system.
The results in the video are just from two green LEDs, but the author hope to soon use lasers instead. Definitely a superb addition guaranteed to spice up any DJ’s show.

If you’re still unfamiliar with the ENTTEC API, let me know – I’ve already worked out the DMX USB Pro using VCP drivers.
