Occasionally, a pixel on your fancy new LCD monitor will become “stuck” or “dead” which is typically casued by a faulty transistor or unbalanced liquid in the display (LCD = Liquid crystal display, afterall). If you find yourself in such a predicament, don’t worry it’s pretty easy to fix using one of three methods:
- Software – Running some free software is the first step you should take. Programs such as JscreenFix and UDpixel are some of the best.
- Using Pressure – Sometimes putting pressure on the display well help redistribute liquid to the harmed areas.
- Tapping – Similar to the pressure method, tapping the problem area repeatedly (see video for more details)

Insane! I thought it would be a some kind of hoax but it actually worked!
I actually used UDpixel then moved the flashing pixel to my the dead pixel. It started to fade out a bit and started to blink. I pressed a pen on the screen while still having the flahing spot on it it did totally fade out!
Hopefully it won’t come back on my next boot up.
Honestly that does not really make sense to me and I’d love a deeper technical explanation of this process but hats off to the poster of this trick…you just revived my LCD!
