DIY RC Airsoft Gun Turret using Recycled Parts
Just a few modifications and you can turn a harmless tupperware cake dish into a DIY airsofturret. All it takes is a microcontroller, servo, IR receiver, and an airsoft pistol to transform an everyday item into a turret Airsoft gun. It can also be controlled using an IR TV remote control.
The Airsoft gun project has been deliberately been kept simple so anyone can use this as a starter airsoft project. Servo motors enable a platform to swivel up to 180° left and right with a tilt of 45°. A press on the TV remote sends an IR signal to a microcontroller which then decodes the signal and controls the turret’s pan, tilt, and fire.
