OpenMT project is an Open Source initiative that has the noble aim of helping out DIYers who want to create their own thin and flexible pressure sensitive multi-touch panel. Unlike lot of camera based multi-touch projects we have seen, The Open Source MultiTouch project uses a hardware platform to make super thin and flexible multitouch surfaces.
The quick and low cost sensing technology uses Open Source software and hardware such as the Arduino to create an almost paper thin, flexible trackpad. The high speed gesture recognition feedback makes it an ideal multitouch platform to combine with any other interactive projects.
