Instead of paying for absurdly priced printer cartridges, build yourself a Continuous Ink Printer (CIS) which can be made by hacking an old printer to suck ink from external reservoirs. You can get the raw ink for dirt cheap so it's essentially like unlimited printing for free (besides the paper). So now you can actually print your collection of pirated books! I have always loved hacks and this alows me to acully print out all my home made graphics really cheap and put them up on my house. Or, just get a color laser for about $400 with full size toner cartridges (Dell), and print 5000 pages for no cost. Of gewoon een kleur laser voor ongeveer $ 400 met volle cartridges grootte toner (Dell), en 5000 pagina's printen zonder kosten.

Not really free. Niet echt gratis. The heads on cartridges eventually wear out. De hoofden op cartridges treedt slijtage op. This can cause a real mess, and possibly damage to your printer if you keep printing with damaged or worn out heads. Dit kan leiden tot een echte puinhoop, en mogelijk schade aan uw printer als je blijft drukken met beschadigde of versleten koppen.

Well of course it's going to wear out eventually but it's free for ages. Nou natuurlijk gaat het uiteindelijk uit te dragen, maar het is gratis voor jong en oud.

That picture is of a typical continuous ink printer, not the specific setup used in the project. Dat beeld is van een typisch continue printer inkt, niet de specifieke situatie gebruikt in het project.

Imagine your inkjet printer was your car. Stel uw inkjetprinter was uw auto. If your car needed an oil change, would you say screw this i'll just save money and top of the oil in my car or better yet forgoe putting the right grade of oil in my car (whatever is the cheapest). Als je een auto nodig olie verversen, zou je zeggen dit schroef ik maar geld en de bovenkant van de olie te slaan in mijn auto of nog beter forgoe scheppen van de juiste graad van olie in mijn auto (wat is de goedkoopste). As an IT tech, I see this all the time, clients blaming the printer manufacturer for their el cheapo refilled cartridges not working or better yet creating a nice big mess inside the printer. Als IT-tech, zie ik dit de hele tijd, cliënten de schuld te geven van de printer fabrikant voor hun el CHEAPO hervulde cartridges niet werkt of beter nog het creëren van een mooie grote puinhoop in de printer. Printer manufacturers spend millions of dollars in R&D and patents to get their ink formulations right. Printer fabrikanten spenderen miljoenen dollars in R & D en patenten op hun inkt formuleringen goed te krijgen. I can guarantee you the ink being refilled in your ink cartridges is not the same genuine ink you would be getting from manufacturer. Ik kan u garanderen dat u de inkt worden gevuld in uw inktpatronen is niet hetzelfde echte inkt die u zou krijgen van de fabrikant. One time an irrate client blamed me for his refilled ink cartridge not working in his printer. Een keer een irrate cliënt schuld mij voor zijn nagevulde inkt cartridge werkt niet in zijn printer. Low and behold I put a genuine ink cartridge in the printer in front of the client and the printer worked. Laag en zie ik een echte inkt cartridge in de printer voor de klant en de printer werkte. The client just yelled at me and called me incompetent. De klant net schreeuwde naar me en riep me incompetent. Sheesh. Sheesh.

it could probably be done with HP…but Epson seems to be the printer of choice. Het zou waarschijnlijk worden gedaan met de HP ... maar Epson lijkt de printer van keuze.
