This clone of the Phillips Ambilight system allows you to enhance your video watching experience. It is neat, compact, polished, and gets the job done. All the components fit into a attractively milled and labeled project box that allows for nine USB connectors for RGB LED light strips. The LED light strips are then adhered to the rear of the display screen.
The LED strips are controlled by an ATmega32 and an FTDI chip on board. The program reads the color data from the video on the computer screen and sends the info to LiveLight. The resultant light show from the rear of the display screen creates a custom, dynamic lighting display.
