When this ball is thrown into the air, its 36 cellphone cameras simultaneously snap a photo. The result is a panoramic view of everything around it, above it, and below it. Of course, it’s also well cushioned in case you drop it.

The ball contains an accelerometer that senses when it reaches the apex of its upward travel which is when photos are captured. The images are then stitched together via PhotoSynth, making them easy to explore via panning and zooming. Check out the full project details.
