Create Animated GIF Shows on a LED Matrix Display
Here’s another LED matrix project from the same guy who showed us how to stream webcam video on a LED matrix. Creating cool animated GIFs using a matrix of LEDs sounds more common. He picked up a few types of LED matrices: a 32×16 RGB LED matrix (for outdoor use) and a 64×32 RGB LED matrix (for indoor use). He adapted an Amtel LED matrix control board and then tweaked a few settings so that a MATLAB script could display a series of gifs from a folder on his computer. Check out the demo:
