Fontifier lets you use your own handwriting for the text you write on your computer. It turns a scanned sample of your handwriting into a handwriting font that you can use in your word processor or graphics program, just like regular fonts. However, they do charge $9. If you don’t want to pay for a font, try Fonts for Peas which is a free website. You email a handwriting sample to them and they turn it into a font for you. Not a bad idea if you wanted to add a more personal touch to a signifigant other’s gifts.

If you’ve got a tablet (wacom or touch screen) and Windows you can always try out “My Font Tool” from Microsoft. It’s free and works well enough.
