I had no idea it was that easy to power and utilize the lens from a DVD burner. What’s really interesting is that in a normal medium (that is, not fog) the laser was able to scatter enough light to be visible. At what range does the laser lose visibility? I’d love to use this on my laser-tagger (it uses infra-red, and I’d like to see the beam). Only trouble is, I could easily see that beam blinding someone.
