Build Your Own Backyard Stargate
A couple of backyard DIYers created a detailed 1/3rd scale model of a Stargate. Fans of SG1 and Atlantis will immediately recognize the chevrons and all 39 hand-cut symbols. Built out of styrofoam, coat hangars, boards and 2x4s, the gate is surprisingly accurate and actually rotates to “dial” the partner gate just as in the show.
With the help of a bit of PhotoShop you’d hardly know the difference from a real gate
