Back to the Future ‘Auto-Lace’ Sneakers
If the Nike Wiis aren’t an extreme enough shoe mod for you, check out these self-tying Power Laces. Inspired by the Back to the Future films, the Power Laces Prototype features a motor and an Arduino microcontroller. When your foot hits the bottom of the shoe, it ‘auto-laces’ them to tighten around your foot. The entire auto-lacing mechanism is hidden inside the sole. Check out a demo below:

I believe Nike actually has a patent for this but never developed it.
