Automatic Head Tracking with Arduino



          

We’ve seen some infrared head tracking before and now it has been accomplished using the Arduino.  The demo video above shows its interactivity with a flight simulator.  Some modification to the code means this can be adapted for first person shooters like Halo or Call of Duty.

Very nice work!
Only bad thing is, when you turn your head to the right you’re actually looking at a wall instead of seeing the change of view on your screen…

It’s hard to see from the video, but actually, I’m wearing a pair of VR goggles. I only left the laptop screen on for the recording.

Doh! The techique is okay, but wtf is the idea? If you turn your head left, you can’t look at the monitor at the same time :-)

Those are VR googles arent they? So he does see the video event when he turns hes head to any direction… i guess
