This interactive robotic lamp comes complete with gesture recognition and it’s own pico projector. Like a digital assistant, it can interact with a user and project digital information on a physical surface. It’s also equipped with a small camera system which identifies uncluttered space to project virtual apps such as a keyboard.
Video Demo:
The robotic lamp can track gestures and react by processing the digital images it captures with the camera. The robotic lamp is vaguely similar to some Minority Report projects we’ve seen. Check out more of our robotics projects below:

I’ve been saying for years now that getting rid of the screen and having a laptop or even a phone with projection capability instead is going to be the future. Imagine a laser type projector that can be seen clear as a screen in full lighting. Voice control that is personalized instead of a keyboard and/or mouse should also be implemented.
Then you can have someday a full computer let’s say watch that you use as a video phone or portable pc that you just need a surface as in any wall or desk to use video.
Heck just getting rid of the monitor and all the hardware needed to run it and replace it with projection would save room also.
