5 Ways to Hack your Xbox 360 Controller

1. Add LEDs to your 360 Controller
Start with an original, wired Xbox 360 controller. Use this tutorial to get to the Xbox 360 controller disassembly instructions. This is a multi part mod, first changing the color of the LEDs on the circuit board, then adding 4 always on LED’s to the 360 dome, and followed by lighting the start and back buttons. Read more. 2. Rapid Fire Mod
- Purchase an Xbox 360 Rapid Fire Controller.
Want to take your uber pwnage to the next level? Mod the innards of your Xbox controller so it makes the controller think that you are pulling the trigger(s) really really fast. It is great for Halo weapons such as the battle rifle. Read.
3. Create a Custom Paint Job
I will demonstrate how to create a feathered paint job. This is where one color blends with another color using red, black, and silver on an Xbox controller. Although it’s for an Xbox controller, and the paint job is rather blah, you can use the methods depicted in this tutorial to create your own paintjob on a 360 controller.
4. Wireless Controller, Headset, and Messenger Kit
Have you ever tried to use your wireless Xbox 360 Controller, Wireless headset, and Messenger Keyboard all at once If so, you’ll know that it doesn’t work. Until now, that is. Read more.
5. Tilt Controller

price depends on the complexity of the mod. Not online? pretty hard to find unless u check the local paper or something which is highly highly unlikely of course.

You can plug your usb corded controller into most computers and it should install needed software to use your controller on pc. Hope this helps.

Hi i have modiyfied my xbox360 wireless controler i have take the screen from a NDS lite and connected it to the circet board on the xbox360 conntroler and now i can play xbox games on the move but i had to get a clear ds card and i saved xbox games onto them nd now in gd to go.

i took one of the rumble pack motors out of my controler an cut the wires an took a old phone charger that had an l e d light in it an hooked it up to the wires an drilled a little hole in the side of my controler , it works , an 100% free

Actually, there is little to no advantage on all weapons in Halo with a rapid fire controller. The BR does nothing, and if it did then all of those videos on YouTube advertising rapid fire mod controllers would showcase the BR firing full auto, which is every noob’s dream. I can pull the trigger pretty fast on COD, but don’t see any advantage in pulling it fast in Halo. Just a word of warning to modders, if you only have an XBox to play Halo, then don’t waste your time and money with a rapid fire controller.

I want to modify my controller so when it vibrates I can use that signal to operate other items. In car crash scenes when you crash the controller vibrates. I want to use that signal to turn a Stero on or lights or a sound machine to make a big boom noise.

A problem with Xbox 360 controllers are the effects of slow turning in the halo series. The physical mod for this problem calls for increasing the range of motion for the right thumbstick, either by decreasing the diameter of the stick or increasing the diameter of the casing hole.
Is there any way to update the controller’s firmware to address this problem?
